I am Naomi Martínez, or Dulce Naomi Patiño Martínez . I am a Mexican-American living in Texas.
I graduated from U.T. Austin with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Iberian and Latin American Language and Culture.
Professional Journey
My career began as a self-employed developer, enabling me to contribute to three distinct projects and get into UX/UI design. Next, I worked at a data science consultancy based in the Netherlands, transitioning from a data engineer intern to a project manager. Following that experience, I worked as a full-stack developer for a startup in Texas.
My professional journey has been quite the adventure, providing me with the knowledge and skill sets essential to tackle any job and solve diverse challenges.
What am I looking for?
Working as a data engineer intern was exciting. I got to work with Python and earn an AWS certification.
Being a project manager was both challenging and immensely rewarding because I planned and oversaw the completion of projects. I even completed a certified PMI course.
Becoming a full-stack developer provided me with the opportunity to hone my front-end skills. My affinity for it was so strong that I delved into a UX/UI certification.
If I could, I’d do all three roles simultaneously.
However, my journey in front-end development and UI design awoke a different type of passion and creativity within me. The fusion of these worlds sets my imagination free to create and design beautiful things that are brought to life with code.
